Tosa San-shishi Zou
"Tosa San-shishi Zou"(Statue of Tosa's 3 great patriots) stands in the tourist square "Kochi Tabi Hiroba" in front of the Kochi Station in Kochi-shi, Kochi Pref. Lined up majestically there are 3 patriots in the end of Tokugawa shogunate, Hanpeita Takechi, Ryoma Sakamoto and Shintaro Nakaoka, who had greatly contributed to the first step of Japan's modernization. Tosa San-shishi Zou is one of Kochi's foremost popular sightseeing spots. Due to its location in the station square, this spot is also popular as a place to take commemorative photos. There are full of attractions in the "Kochi Tabi Hiroba", such as Shishi Zou as well as Kochi Tourist Information Pavilion "Tosaterasu" and the space where the replica set of Ryoma's birthplace is exhibited.
