Shinohara Maruyoshi Furin Wind Chime Factory
Shinohara Maruyoshi Furin is located at Taito Ward in Tokyo. It is the factory shop of Edo Furin wind chimes, one of the traditional art crafts of Tokyo.
Shinohara Maruyoshi Furin is situated at Satake Shopping Arcade, nearby Okachimachi Station. The Edo Furin is crafted from by hand-blowing, meaning to blow the glass into shape. Because of this method, each one of them is unique and full of handcrafted character. Compared to standard wind chimes, Edo Furin have intentionally jagged edges that improve the quality of their ring.
At the factory, you can actually experience painting on the Edo Furiin and hand-blowing to craft the Edo Furin. Why don’t you create a one-of-a-kind wind chime as a souvenir, and take home its delicate summery tone to decorate your home?
