Kawayu Onsen Fujiya

Kawayu Onsen - Fujiya is located in Tanabe City, southern Wakayama Prefecture. This ryokan (Japanese style hotel) stands next to the Otogawa River, known for being the origin of the Kawayu hot springs.
Thanks to Kawayu Onsen hot springs' abundant flow, the Ryokan's bathwater is entirely channeled directly from the natural spring. Shovels and Japanese style swimsuits are fully available for adventurous travelers who want to enjoy digging their own bath in the riverbed. Another recommended nature-filled experience is using the free fishing pole and bait rental service to fish in the Oto River. The Ryokan will even prepare and cook any fish you catch as your dinner.
