Hotel Senjojiki

Hotel Senjojiki

Hotel Senjojiki is located in Senjojiki Cirque, a glacial landform surrounded by mountains in the central Alps, Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture. At 2,612m above sea level, this hotel boasts the highest altitude in Japan. At this hotel with Japan's closest view of the sky, stargazing parties are a popular activity under the sky full of stars. If you look gaze at the clear sky in the clear air, where absolutely nothing gets in your way, you will feel as if you are floating in the sky. During the day, you can take a leisurely stroll through the sprawling Senjojiki Cirque. The beautiful scenery offers a different vista for every season. Elegant alpine flowers thrive into full bloom in summer, and the trees take on a vibrant orange in autumn. The winter creates an expansive layer of pure white snow, which thaws in the coming of spring. Best of all, it's accessible by bus and ropeway, with very little walking. Hotel Senjojiki is attached to Komagane Ropeway "Senjojiki Station", making access great. (Photo courtesy of Chuo Alps Tourism Co., Ltd.)

  • As of January 16, 2020, the ropeway and Hotel Senjojiki are out of business due to the repair work on the ropeway pillars. Please check the official website for future plans and details.
