Beppu Onsen is one of Japan's oldest hot springs facilities. The building bears a retro facade, and the inside too, is reminiscent of a traditional-style Japanese bathhouse. In fact, to preserve the retro atmosphere, there are no showers built in the bathhouse, and you can only rinse off using the water from the hot springs.The entrance fee is only ¥100, but visitors must bring their own towels and soaps.
