Shiraito Falls in the city of Karuizawa is one of the many "Shiraito Falls" throughout Japan. This one in Nagano prefecture is one of the most famous of its kind. Though it only measures 3 meteres high, it is 70 meters in width. The water flowing from up top is groundwater, and is flowing 365 days a year regardless of the weather. Visit in May and June for the fresh green leaves, and come back in autumn for the fall foliage.
