Hozenji Yokocho
Hozenji Yokocho
Hozenji Yokocho is located right near the Dotonbori in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. One of the attractions of this street are the signs that comedians such as Fujiyama Hiromi and Rakugo's third generation Haru Katsura have left by the east and west entrances. Behind the posters at the entrance are a line of long-established Japanese restaurants and bars that are overflowing with taste. If you continue walking along the old and good cobblestone, you will come across many famous restaurants. For example, " Fufuzenzai", a Japanese sweets shop that is popular amongst couples for the satisfying sweets, "Yaki zen", a restaurant where you can taste Osaka's famous Okonomiyakis, "Wasabi", a katsu-on-a-stick restaurant, and many more! Although this yokocho was once burned down by air raids during the Pacific War, it was soon restored after the war and is now a popular spot filled with customers all day long.
