Arima Onsen

Arima Onsen
Arima Onsen, located at the northern side of Mount Rokko, is one of Japan's 3 oldest hot springs along with Dogo Onsen and Shirahama Onsen. The initial discovery of this hot spring is said to be way back to the ancient times. Arima Onsen has two main baths, the Golden and Silver. At the golden bath, the water is red because of the oxidation from the large amount of iron. On the other hand, the silver bath is completely clear with no visible color. Both baths are said to help heals different concerns; the golden bath heals poor circulation, back pain, and dermatosis, and the silver bath helps with high blood pressure. Aside from the hot springs, there are 7 steaming springs within the Onsen town. You'll feel the warmth in your bodies just by taking a stroll through the town. Nearby, there are over 30 hotels and Ryokans, 2 public outdoor baths, and much more! Visiting on an overnight trip or day trip are both great choices.
