Catbus at Totoro Pass
Catbus at Totoro Pass
At Totoro Pass in Fukagawa, Hokkaido, you can find the Catbus. Many of you may find the Catbus (or neko-bus in Japanese) familiar from the Studio Ghibli film, “My Neighbor Totoro”, which was released in 1988. The bus was formerly used as a resting space for local farmers, and its exterior was re-painted into the Catbus design in 1998. In the bus, you can find timetables that have the same schedules and destinations as it does in the movie (though unfortunately, this Catbus does not operate). From the Totoro Pass parking lot next to Totoro Pass, you can get a beautiful night view of the city of Fukagawa. (photo credit: @ukiyoshi0222)
