Seibinomori Museum of Art

Category

The Seibinomori Museum of Art is located in Biei, central Hokkaido. This was once an abandoned elementary school, and its small buildings fit well into the beautiful scenery. On display are three painters who loved Biei, including actor and painter Takaaki Enoki. Heartwarming watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings are on display. The museum has a deep connection with the local community, and sometimes displays works by nearby elementary schools, and local specialties. Biei Hill is surrounded by a beautiful scenery of wheat fields and potato farms, and is a great stop for a road trip.
