Mikaeri Falls

Mikaeri Falls locates in the city of Karatsu in Saga prefecture. This waterfall has an elevation difference of 100 meters, which is the highest in the Kyushu region. The area around the falls is decorated with hydrangeas. They were planted by the people of the town of Ouchi, which is where waterfall locates. In June, you can witness the hydrangeas come into full bloom. The waterfalls are lit up after sunset and offer a romantic view. Near Mikaeri Falls, you can find Niji no Matsubara pine grove, which is one of Japan’s top three pine groves.
