Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park
Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park locates in northeastern Hokkaido. The park has endless fields of shibazakura. Shibazakura, or moss phlox, is a pink flower that is known to look like cherry blossoms. The fields have an area of about 100,000㎢. You can see the pink fields from May to June. Hop on the sightseeing car provided by the park to breeze through the shibazakura fields. All of the shibazakura in the park was planted by one man named Nakahachi Suekichi. He spent a total of 22 years looking after the shibazakura fields. In the park, there are go-kart tracks, playgrounds, fishing areas and more for everyone to enjoy. This is a great family destination.
