Bihoro Pass

Bihoro Pass locates in eastern Hokkaido’s Abashiri district. It sits 525 meters above sea level, and is around it are breathtaking sights such as Lake Kussharo and Mount Io. You can see these from the observation deck on the pass.
The geography of Bihoro Pass allows for it to have very little wind. That combined with its high altitude makes it a sea of clouds hot spot.
The entire pass has a hilly geography, with some areas being windier than others. The wind can be utilized for sports such as paragliding.
