Lake Panketo and Lake Penketo

Lake Panketo and Lake Penketo locate in eastern Hokkaido’s city of Kushiro. They are two of the three lakes that were created after an eruption from Mount Oakan divided Lake Akan into three.
Although the lakes are not open to the general public, you can see them from the Sokodai Observation Deck nearby. In the winter, the lakes are covered in snow, and in the summer they are a stunning blue-green shade.
Mount Oakan and Lake Akan are located nearby. There, you can enjoy activities like trekking and cruising.
