Momoiwa Observatory
Momoiwa Observatory locates on northeastern Hokkaido’s Rebun Island. From here, you can see Momoiwa, a giant rock, and its surrounding scenery of the sea and mountains. From the observatory, there is a 6.4-kilometer long trekking course. Throughout the hike, you can see the island’s rocky coasts and the sea. Nearby Momoiwa Observatory is another observatory, called the Momodai Nekodai Observatory. From Momoiwa Observatory, you can see Momoiwa from above, while from Momodai Nekodaid Observatory, you can see it from below.
