Muroran Factory Night View

The Muroran Factory Night View refers to the night view of the city of Muroran in southern Hokkaido. The industrial city has gained attention in recent years for its stunning night view of its factories. The factories are located by the sea, and lights up the city’s coast. The Hakucho Bridge, also on the sea, lights up at night as well.
The night view of Muroran’s factories can be seen from the several observatories throughout the city or from the sea. Since 2010, nightly cruises have been operating specifically for the purpose of seeing the night view. In 2014, Muroran was chosen as one of the six best spots in Japan for a factory night view.
At the Muroran Port Festival held every summer, you can enjoy the city’s foods and specialties. The city is famous for its yakitori, or grilled chicken skewers.
