Nyuto Onsen in the winter

Nyuto Onsen is a hot springs town located in eastern Akita. It is a part of Towada Hachimantai National Park. There are seven springs at Nyuto Onsen. You can bathe in all seven baths. Each have their own spring source, and bathing in all seven is said to bring you great health. Those who plan on staying overnight are recommended to get the Yumeguri-cho, which allows them to visit each bath once. There is a hiking course in the town, which allows trekkers to visit each hot spring while on a hike.
