Kofuku Station locates in Obihiro, Hokkaido, and is famous as a spot of good luck. “Kofuku” translates to “happiness”, and its name gathered attention after being featured on a television program in 1973. The Kofuku ticket, with the words 幸福 (happiness) written on it, was extremely popular during the time. The station and the line it was on are both no longer in use. Kofuku Station and its neighboring station, Aikoku Station (meaning “country of love), are popular tourist spots. The platform of Kofuku Station retains its retro atmosphere from the late 1900s. Inside the station building, visitors attach their business cards, photos and more to wish for happiness and luck.
