World Drum Museum A drum House

The World drum Museum Taikokan is located along Asakusa Kokusai Street in Taito-ku, Tokyo. This is the world's first taiko (Drum) museum, which has been operating since 1988 by “Miyamoto Shinnosuke Store”, a long-established taiko drum, shrine, and festival equipment, and is located on the 4th floor of the Nishi Asakusa store. For the purpose of the production of Taiko drums, the purpose of preserving and releasing taiko drums, and reference books and materials collected from all over the world, some of the approximately 800 Taiko drums are on display. You can actually hit about 70% of the drums and enjoy the sound also. The hall is divided into continents around the world and displays not only Japanese drums but also various drums from Africa, Australia and Southeast Asia. On the first floor, you can purchase Japanese drums and related goods.
