Kuroshima Church is located on Kuroshima Island, which is 50 minutes by ferry from Ainoura Port in the city of Sasebo. The church served as a refuge for Christians during the early 1900s, when they were still a minority in Japanese society. To this day, 80% of the island's residents are Christians. Make sure to give the church a call before your visit, as the church only accepts a limited number of visitors per day.
