Mount Osore is a sacred mountain located in the Shimokita peninsula of Aomori prefecture. Much of the mountain's sights have allusions related to the afterlife, like the "many hells" represented by stones and the caldera lake, called "Paradise Beach". Don't let the many hells and eerie paradise creep you out too much; the sacred Mount Osore is supposed to provide visitors a special connection with spirits.
