Shitan-yu

Shitan-yu locates just by Lake Kinrinko in the onsen town of Yufuin. It is designated as one of the “Yufuin Onsen”, which is collectively registered as a People’s Recreation Spa.
Since it locates right next to Lake Kinrinko, you can visit Shitan-yu in the autumn or winter mornings to see the lake’s steam rise beautifully.
The bath is a co-ed bath without any designated changing rooms, and provides a traditional, simple onsen experience. At the rotemburo (outdoor bath), you can feel like you’re bathing right in the middle of nature.
