Hitachi Seaside Park

Kochia in full bloom at Hitachi Seaside Park

Hitachi Seaside Park

Hitachi Seaside Park is a National Park in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, with a total area of approximately 2,000,000㎡ - roughly 40 times that of Tokyo Dome.

Several sections of the park are covered in large-scale flower fields. With its vast carpets of narcissuses, tulips, cosmos and many more, the park takes on a different color palette with every coming season. Among these fields, the Miharashi-no-Oka (Miharashi Hill) with Hitachinaka City’s highest altitude, is especially notable for its vistas of nemophila in April and May, and bright-red kochia in the autumn.

With a bike trail, barbecue park, athletic park, and the “Pleasure Garden Area” that has over 25 attractions for you to enjoy, Hitachi Seaside Park has no shortage of things for children to enjoy.

A variety of events are also held according to the season and theme, so Hitachi Seaside Park is also sure to offer a new experience with every visit.
