The rice fields in Nagano prefecture's Obasute are made in the "tanada" style. The fields are created in a step-like style to utilize the most out of the hilly land. Visit between late May and early June, when the fields are covered in water and act as a mirror for the summer sunset. At night, the water reflects the moonlight for an ethereal view.
