Takato Castle Park

Takato Castle Park

Takato Castle Park locates in the city of Ina in Nagano prefecture. The park was home to a prominent castle during the Warring Period (1467 – 1590), but the castle was taken down in the late 1800s. Today, the former castle area is a spacious park, with over 1,500 cherry blossom trees that bloom every spring. The fall foliage at the park is remarkable too, with over 250 maple trees decorating the park. Stay until the evening for a special light-up and projection mapping show of the cherry blossoms and the maple trees.
