Tokyu Line Maneki-neko Tram
Tokyu Line Maneki-neko Tram
To celebrate the Tokyu Tamagawa Line’s 110th anniversary in 2017, a special tram with a maneki-neko, or lucky cat design, is in operation until September 2018. The Tokyu Tamagawa Line was discontinued in 1969, with the exception of the current Tokyu Setagawa Line range. The maneki-neko has a historic connection with Gotokuji Temple, which locates near the stops of the Tokyu Setagaya Line. The exterior and interior of the train cars are decked out in maneki-neko designs, with cute details such as the paw prints on the floor of the train cars.
