Setoaikyo Canyon

Setoaikyo Canyon, in northwestern Tochigi, locates at the upper stream of Kinugawa River. The canyon is about 100 meters deep and 2 kilometers wide, and is a creation of ashes and sand that erupted from nearby volcanoes.
The canyon area is a part of Nikko National Park. It is known for its stunning fall foliage views, and has been chosen as one of Tochigi’s 100 Scenic Spots.
From the suspension bridge stretching across the canyon, you can get an unbelievable view of the entire scenery. Visit the Bell of Angels located near the bridge, where it is said to bring your happiness.
