Chirihama Nagisa Driveway

The Chirihama Nagisa Driveway locates on the northern coast of Ishikawa prefecture, and is the only beach in Japan you can drive through.
The Chirihama Coast stretches from the city of Hakuishi’s Chirihama town to Hodatsu-Shimizu town for a total of 8 kilometers. The sand on the beach is made up of small particles that absorb water, and form a solid surface that cars can drive on.
The views from the beach differ greatly depending on the time of day, and is especially picturesque at sunset. You can also ride a motorcycle or bike on the beach.
In the summer, the beach is open for swimming. Beach houses open during the summer time, and there you can relax by the beach while eating local seafood.
