Kunenan during the fall

Kunenan is a former villa in the city of Kanzaki in Saga prefecture. It was built in the Meiji Period (1868 – 1912) for Itami Yataro, a prominent businessman. The former villa is now designated as a National Scenic Site, and is praised for its nature and historical architecture. The Japanese garden is spacious, and measures 6,900㎡. Inside are over 700 trees of around 60 different species, including azaleas and maples. It is only open to the public twice a year, in the spring and autumn. During the fall, the leaves on the maple trees change colors, and creates an ethereal sight.
