Resort Shirakami

Resort Shirakami is a scenic train that runs between Akita Station and Aomori Station in the Tohoku region. It began its operation in 1997.
Traditional performances and events are held on the train, such as a puppet show, storytelling and a live shamisen performance.
You can enjoy these performances while having a delicious lunch box meal, stuffed with Shirakami wagyu beef, scallops and more. In the train, you can purchase drinks such as locally brewed beer and apple juice.
If you’re looking for some amazing nature views, stop at Juniko Station, which is one of the stops on Resort Shirakami. There, you can find Aoike Pond, which is famous for its stunning blue color.
