Located in Kanazawa City of Ishikawa Prefecture, is one of Japan's sanjuen, Seisonkaku. Nariyasu the 13th, from the Maeda Family, was in charge of the Kaga ryo and built the palace for his mother. Red lacquer, gold, mica, and ultramarine were used all over to make the interior as luxurious as possible. Two styles of design are used in this two-story, whirlpool structured building: shoin structured for the upper floor and sukiya style for the bottom floor. Many items, such as historical tools and dolls from the Maeda family and gorgeous dresses, are displayed in the collection rooms. You can see these items during the regularly occurring events. During certain seasons, you can see light displays and fireflies at Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen. Souvenirs are available at the Dentousangyoukougeikan nearby.
