Built in 1972, The Ueno Royal Museum exhibits many types of arts, including important cultural properties. Although there is no permanent exhibit, the museum hosts unique temporary displays, such as the VOCA (the vision of contemporary art) and public offering exhibits. There is no fixed display but changing their exhibition regularly. An annex was built in 2006 to hold smaller exhibitions. For hands-on fun, art classes are held on the third floor.
