Toyo Bunko Museum

The Toyo Bunko Museum is Japan's oldest and largest Oriental Studies Library. This museum also holds extremely exclusive documents that have never been revealed before. Inside the oriental hall by the entrance, there are displays of ancient documents written in international languages. In addition, there are enormous replicas of the monument of King Hotae and The Big Painting of Edo. At the Morrison Book Vault, which has been named Japan's most beautiful book shelf, there are about 2,400 books displayed on one wall. This sight is truly breath-taking. Aside from the book vault, the "small road of wisdom" that connects the museum to the restaurants is also a must-see area. This roofed path has words of wisdoms in languages from all over Asia. Looking for new phrases in different languages is an exciting challenge. Photography is allowed in the exhibition, so please feel free to bring a camera.
