Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street

Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street is located approximately 5 minutes away from Nippori Station in Taito ward, Tokyo. It is one of the famous tourist spots in the Yanase area. The 170m-long street is surrounded by about 60 of small locally owned shops, cafes and food stalls. It is a very popular shopping street where a lot of tourists visit every day to feel the old town “Shitamachi” atmosphere.
On the shopping street, you can get a “Senchan Shopping Stamp 100” stamp card that has their original character Senchan on it, and use this to get a discount in many shops on the street.
If you walk from the shopping street to Nippori Station, there is a gently sloped stairs called “Yuyake Dandan” and you can enjoy the panoramic view of the shopping street from the top. It is also popular as a photo spot where you can capture a nostalgic landscape.
