Retroft Chitose

Retroft Chitose is a building located in Kagoshima city, in central Kagoshima Prefecture. On the first and second floors are various tenants such as a secondhand bookstore, a cafe, and gallery, and on the third to fifth floors are rental apartments.
Retroft Chitose, a more than 50-year-old building renovated to its current form, is now a hot spot in Kagoshima City. Based on the concept of a "book passage", fashionable tenants like a secondhand bookstore, coffee stands, and galleries are gathered on the first and second floors.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by a striking space, whose walls are densely packed with rows upon rows of secondhand books. This is a bookstore named "Secondhand bookstore Liset" with a variety of genres. There are also rare books such as academic or western books. Please try to find your favorite!
The second floor has an exhibit space and sometimes hosts events. The building also has are cafes and restaurants, and a good point of this is that it makes it a place where you can take a break while sightseeing.
