Kaimei School

Kaimei School
The Kaimei School in western Ehime is the oldest school building in the Shikoku region. The school was built in 1882, and was designated as an Important Cultural Property in 1997. The architecture blends both Japanese and western styles. Inside are textbooks and documents from mostly the Meiji period (1868 – 1903). You can reserve a Meiji period-style class session, using textbooks and teaching techniques from those times.
