In the small town of Inakadate in central Aomori, you can see this incredible work of rice paddy art. This town of 8,000 is the birthplace of rice paddy art, and rakes in visitors from all of Japan every year. There are two venues for the works, and at both venues are observatories where you can admire the art from. Themes for the works vary every year, so you can always expect something new.
