Anjo Tanabata Festival

Anjo Tanabata Festival
The Anjo Tanabata Festival began to bring the city of Anjo back to life after World War II, and became a great success. It even grew into becoming known as one of the three Top Tanabata Festivals of Japan. The Anjo Tanabata Festival is famous for its bamboo-decorated street, which is said to be the longest in the country. Aside from the traditional tanzaku, the festival now has many wishing events such as the Wishing Candle event and the Wishing Balloon event.
