Tenen Rest Area
Tenen Rest Area
The Tenen Rest Area can be found on the Tenen Hiking Course in Kamakura. This is the only resting spot on the hiking course, and is always packed with hikers. At the food vendor, you can buy rice balls, miso soup and more to fuel up for the rest of your hike. There are also drinks like beer and amazake, a fermented rice drink that is popular in the winter months. The oden is especially popular. Oden is a hot pot stew featuring vegetables, boiled egg, fish cakes and more. The hot broth will warm you up on cold winter days.
