Hakone Shrine
Hakone Shrine, in the town of Hakone, is said to be built around 757. Throughout history, the shrine was worshipped by warriors, as it was considered to bring luck in battles. Today, the shrine is said to bring luck in household safety and safe childbirth. In the shrine grounds are many famous spiritual spots, such as the holy Yatate Cedar Tree and the Torii of Peace. The Torii of Peace is the red gate standing by the lake, and is a popular photo spot for visitors. Right next to Hakone Shrine is Kuzuryu Shrine, which is said to bring luck in matchmaking. It is said that visiting these two shrines together will bring you even more luck.
