Kyu-yasuda Gardens
Kyu-yasuda Gardens
Created some time between 1688 and 1703 by Munesuke Honjo, a daimyo (feudal lord) of the Kanto region, this garden sits just by the Sumida River. Originally, the pond had brought water from the Sumida River, but nowadays is pumped from the ocean. There are several benches located around the pond for a quick rest, and you can take a look at the koi fish and turtles inhabiting the pond. The garden is also ideal for a short stroll for breath of fresh air.
