Ryogoku Kokugikan Stadium

Sumo ring and the seats inside Kokugikan

Ryogoku Kokugikan Stadium

At Ryogoku Kokugikan, you can watch live sumo wrestling if you come in time for sumo season. This stadium was built in 1984, since the prior sumo-wrestling venue, Kuramae Kokugikan was retired. There are no tours of just the venue, so if you want to see what it’s like inside, you have to get tickets to watch the wrestlers in action!
