Nuruyu Onsen

Nuruyu Onsen hot springs locates in the city of Kuroishi in Aomori prefecture. Kuroishi is home to numerous hot springs, such as Nuruyu, Ochiai, Itadome and more. Nuruyu Onsen is the oldest of Kuroishi’s many hot springs, and has a history of over 400 years.
The bath waters are around 57 degrees Celsius, and its piping hot waters are perfect for Aomori’s harsh winters. The waters at Nuruyu Onsen are said to be good for neural pains and arthritis.
In the Nuruyu Onsen area, you can find some ryokan inns and B&Bs. Some of these accommodation sites have shared baths.
The city of Kuroishi is famous for its retro shopping arcade, called Komise. The buildings in Komise are wooden to protect shoppers from the sun and strong winds.
