"Kojiri Hot Spring" is located in Hakone-machi, western Kanagawa Prefecture. The hot spring resort at a 730-to-850-meter altitude spreads in the area that covers Lake Ashi and Ubako. Kojiri Hot Spring is relatively new in Hakone, when hot springs started to be developed in the 1960s. The main spring qualities are bicarbonate and sulfate, which have various effects including a skin beauty effect and therapeutic effects on neuralgia and muscle aches. Kojiri Hot Springs also has many outdoor facilities, such as a hiking course and a golf course. The hot spring is also popular as a rest area after exertion in these activities. Adjacent to Kojiri is Lake Ashi, which offers a boat tour around the lake. The tour covers the area from Owakudani to Komagatake. The port has a waiting room and Hakone Kojiri Terminal, which has a souvenir shop. The terminal also has a restaurant that overlooks Lake Ashi on the second floor.
