Oodori Park
Oodori Park
Sapporo’s Oodori Park, which stretches 1.5km in width and 78,000㎡ in circumference, was designed by the park designer, Abira Nagaoka, in 1909. Upon its official opening, the park has been loved by tourists and locals for over 100 years! Inside the park, an oasis surrounded by buildings appears in front of your eyes. 92 kinds of plants, such as cherry blossoms and tulips, fill up the area to make the park an enjoyable atmosphere year-round. In addition, there are multiple events, including the “Yosakoi So-ran Festival”. This festival is a combination of Kochi Prefecture’s Yosakoi Festival and Hokkaido’s So-ran Festival. Also, Oodori Park has been hosting the famous “Sapporo Snow Festival” for over 50 years. Visiting this park during any time of the year is just as fun!
