Tanukikouji Shopping Street

The Tanukikouji Shopping street, located in the central area of Sapporo City, Hokkaido, is a street that stretches about 1 km and has a history of over 100 years. In the beginning, various shops and restaurants started opening in a line. In 1873, the name "Tanukikouji" was created.
Today, about 200 shops ranging from old, new, souvenirs, karaoke, and more have taken over a long arcade.
In addition, many events, such as "Cash Taking" in the summer and winter along with "Night Bargain" on the last Saturday of July, take place on the street.
