The Museum of Art Ehime opened within the Matsuyama Castle district in 1998. It is one of the biggest museum in the prefecture and manly displays some artifacts by local artists. Additionally, some works by foreign artists such as Monet and Cézanne are added to the collections. More than 11,000 exhibits of different kinds welcome the visitors. New collections are introduced to visitors 5 to 6 times a year. The Ateiler is open for everyone and some art class events are held too.
