"Sokokura Hot Spring" is in Hakone-machi, the Western Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a hot spring resort that perches on the top of a valley at an altitude of 440 meters between Hayakawa River and Jakotsu River. Sokokura Hot Spring, which has been been popular since the Edo period, still attracts many people as one of the “Hakone Ju-nana Yu." The sodium chloride spring quality from the “Jakotsu Spring Group” along the river sets this hot spring apart from others. The bath has skin beauty and moisture-retaining effects, helps warm up cold hands and feet, and relieves muscles. There are not many lodgings, but it is a hot spring resort with a time-honored history and still has facilities that were built in the Meiji and Taisho periods. In the vicinity of its nearest "Miyanoshita Station," there are many food spots, such as a long-established cafes and bakeries. You can enjoy delicious foods in a nostalgic atmosphere. If you go a little further, you will find a wealth of stores that offer antiques including traditional art works from the Edo period and antiques from around the world.
