The ropeway, which holds up to 18 people, runs every minute, stopping at Togendai Station, Ubako Station, Owakudani Station, and Souzan Station. The stop at the highest altitude of about 130 meters extensively overlooks towns in Hakone and Mount Fuji, which looks different in the four seasons. The most recommended of all the stops is the second, Owakudani Station. Right outside the station is Owakudani, also known as “Jigoku Dani (Hell Valley),” which has an active volcano even today. Also, at the station, you can purchase black eggs that were boiled in hot springs in Owakudani. It is believed that eating one of these eggs will extend your life by 7 years.
