Setoda Sunset Beach Setoda Sunset Beach is located in Onomichi city in south-eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. It is the name of a seaside park at Ikuchijima island, located along the Shimanami Kaido, a driving route connecting Hiroshima and Ehime prefectures. Since Ikuchijima is famous as the largest producer of lemons in Japan, this beach is also called "Shimanami Lemon Beach". The artificial coastline’s length is 800 meters and it is shallow enough for you to relax while swimming in the ocean. The calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea allows you to enjoy a variety of marine sports like sea kayaking. There are also rentals for camping and BBQ, pay showers, and a restaurant. This is a convenient rest stop for Shimanami Kaido cycling. As you could tell from the name, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset at Setoda Sunset Beach. The view of the horizon slowly being painted red by the sunset cannot be missed. Also, in each August there is the Setoda-cho Summer Fireworks Festival. You can enjoy the 300 meter-long "Niagara" fireworks which effectively utilize the topography of the beach.

Innoshima Ohashi Bridge Innoshima Ohashi (Bridge) is in Onomichi city, south eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. It is one of the longest in Japan, measuring in at 770 meters. When the bridge opened, it was a record-breaking size and was called "The number-one suspension bridge in eastern Asia". Innoshima Ohashi connects Mukaishima and Innoshima. It is built with 2 stories, the top being a motorway while the bottom allows passage of pedestrians and bicycles. The bridge is popular for being a rare sample of an over-water passageway accessible by foot, and commands a liberating panorama of the Seto Inland Sea. At the foot of the bridge is the Innoshima Bridge Memorial Park, built to commemorate the opening of Innoshima Ohashi Bridge. The park is a hidden scenic spot where you can view the bridge and Seto Inland Sea together from the spacious grass field. Inside the park, there is a store called "Innoshima Hassakuya", popular for Hassaku Daifuku (rice cake containing a type of orange) and "Kiku Mikan Mochi" (rice cake containing mandarin orange).
